What Our Customers are saying
Should I choose granite or quartz countertops?
Granite and quartz are both natural stone, but they aren’t made the same and have different properties.
GRANITE COUNTERTOPS
- Natural stone, cut as a single slab
- Very heat-resistant, up to 1200 degrees
- Harder, more scratch-resistant than quartz
- Each stone is one of a kind
Quartz COUNTERTOPS
- Manufactured from crushed natural stone and polymers
- Heat-resistant up to 400 degrees
- Non-porous, does not need to be sealed
- More consistent color, and more options on the lighter spectrum

FAQs about granite countertops
How long do granite countertops last?
A well-maintained granite countertop will last as long as you live, and even longer. Without proper maintenance, it will still last a long time, but it will show wear after a few years.
How often do granite countertops need to be resealed?
This will depend on how heavily your counters are used and how porous the granite is. We recommend sealing them yearly. Or you can purchase our 15-year sealer for less frequent maintenance.
Is it okay to put hot pans on granite?
Granite will not be damaged by hot pans. However, high heat for an extended time could cause discoloration.
Can granite countertops be repaired?
Yes. You can repair small cracks or chips yourself with supplies or kits from your hardware store. For larger cracks or repairs, give us a call!
